Spare parts

The part, not the whole chair.

Most repairs on a folding powerchair come down to one component. We manufacture these chairs and keep every part in stock.

The usual experience of a powerchair fault in Australia is that the chair disappears for a month. That happens because the seller doesn’t hold parts, so every repair starts with an order to a factory overseas.

We’ve built around that differently. As the manufacturer, we keep spare parts for every model in stock and supply them permanently. A controller or a joystick or a motor is a part you can fit at home in under an hour with a screwdriver, and for most faults that’s the whole repair.

How a repair usually goes

Three tiers, cheapest and fastest first. We start at the top and only move down if we need to.

01

Part swap at home

We send the part. You or a local handyman fits it, with a video call from us if you want one. Most faults end here — a few days, no freight on the chair.

02

Bench repair

If it isn’t a straightforward swap, the chair goes to our repair workshop on the mainland. We arrange and pay the freight on warranty claims.

03

Replacement

If a chair has a major failure, you choose a refund or a replacement. That’s your right under the Australian Consumer Law, not a concession from us.

Parts we hold

Prices vary by model and we’ll quote before anything ships. If a part is under warranty it’s free — ask us before you buy one.

Ask for a part

Tell us your model, your order number if you have it, and what’s gone wrong. If it’s covered by warranty we’ll say so rather than sell you something. If it isn’t, we’ll quote you and get it moving.

Looking after it yourself

  • Charge it regularly, not just when it’s flatLithium batteries prefer partial cycles to deep ones. Charging after each substantial use is better for the pack than running it down first.
  • Don’t store it fully flatIf the chair is going away for a month or more, leave the battery around half charged and top it up every couple of months. A pack left empty for a long period can be permanently damaged.
  • Check tyre pressure monthlySoft tyres cost you range and make the chair harder to steer. It’s the single cheapest thing you can do for performance.
  • Keep the folding mechanism cleanGrit in the hinge is what makes a fold stiff. Wipe it out; don’t oil it unless the manual says to.
  • Rain is fine, puddles are notThese chairs handle wet weather. They don’t handle being driven through standing water deep enough to reach the motors.
  • Book an annual serviceIncluded with every Care+ plan. Worth doing regardless if you use the chair daily.
